Ozone filter and method of production thereof
An ozone filter for decomposing ozone in the air is disclosed. Theozone filter is composed of a carrier formed by paper made ofinorganic fibers having a porosity of 70 to 95%. The carrier isimpregnated with a solution of fine powder-like activated manganesedioxide dispersed in water and having a particle size of 0.3 to 50μm and a specific surface area of not less than 100 m2 /g in anamount of not less than 40 g/m2, on a dry white base of activatedmanganese dioxide, which is allowed to adhere to the carrier, andis then dried. The ozone filter thus produced is more active andhas a longer life with a reduced pressure loss than conventionalozone filters.
